Mock Trial Competition for Grades 3 THROUGH 6
REMINDER: The deadline to enter our Law Fair (grades 3 - 6) and Law Adventure (grades 7 and 8) Competitions is January 31, 2013. Entries must be received at the New Jersey State Bar Foundation in New Brunswick by this date. Faxed or e-mail submissions will not be accepted. The New Jersey State Bar Foundation invites elementary school students and their teachers to submit original mock trial cases to the Law Fair 2013 Competition. There is no entry fee. The purpose is to promote understanding of the law and our justice system, and to educate students about their rights and responsibilities under the law.
Winners from grades 3 - 6 will be asked to perform their original mock trial cases at Law Fair programs in the spring at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick.
Third- through sixth-grade teachers and their students are invited to attend the Law Fair spring programs May 28, 29, 30 and 31 and serve as jurors. To register click here.

This competition can help to fulfill Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts & Literacy in History/Social Studies, Science & Technical Subjects as well as the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards for Social Studies.
