Mock trial competition for grades 7 and 8
REMINDER: The deadline to enter our Law Fair (grades 3 - 6) and Law Adventure (grades 7 and 8) Competitions is January 31, 2012. Entries must be received at the New Jersey State Bar Foundation in New Brunswick by this date. Faxed or e-mail submissions will not be accepted. The New Jersey State Bar Foundation invites seventh- and eighth-graders and their teachers to submit original mock trial cases to the Law Adventure 2012 Competition. There is no charge to enter. The cases must be suitable for use in the classroom as a tool to teach students about legal issues. In these grade levels, students must develop a case on one of two themes.
A free Mock Trial Conference for teachers of grades 3 - 8 will be held on October 11, 2011, 8:30 a.m. - 1:15 p.m., at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick. To register online click here.

Winners from grades 7 and 8 will be invited to perform their cases at the New Jersey Law Center in the spring.
Seventh- and eighth-grade teachers and their students are invited to attend the Law Adventure spring programs May 15, 16 and 17 and serve as jurors. To register click here.
