Mock trial competition for grades 7 and 8

The deadline to enter our Law Fair (grades 3 - 6) and Law Adventure (grades 7 and 8) Competitions is January 27, 2017. Entries must be received at the New Jersey State Bar Foundation in New Brunswick by this date. Faxed or e-mail submissions will not be accepted. The New Jersey State Bar Foundation invites seventh- and eighth-graders and their teachers to submit original mock trial cases to the Law Adventure 2017 Competition. There is no charge to enter. The cases must be suitable for use in the classroom as a tool to teach students about legal issues. Students must develop a case on one of the following topics: (1) Abuse of Alcohol or Drugs and (2) Legal Issues Related to Parental Responsibility for Their Child(ren).

Winners from grades 7 and 8 will be invited to perform their cases at the New Jersey Law Center in the spring.

Seventh- and eighth-grade teachers and their students are invited to attend the free Law Adventure spring programs May  15, 16, 17 and 18 and serve as jurors. To register click here.
