FREE SEMINAR ON ESTATE AND FEDERAL INCOME TAX
A free public seminar on estate and federal income tax will be held Tuesday, February 17, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the New Jersey Law Center off Ryders Lane in New Brunswick. The seminar is sponsored by the New Jersey State Bar Foundation, the educational and philanthropic arm of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA).
Current tax issues on a variety of topics will be discussed, including recent changes to New Jersey estate tax. Other topics for discussion may include distributions from individual retirement accounts (IRAs), saving for college (529 plans), and exclusion of gain on the sale of a principal residence. A question-and-answer period will follow the presentations.
Speakers will include Brian Reynolds, an attorney with the Murray Hill law firm of Mantell & Prince, and Richard Greenberg, a partner with Greenberg & Schulman in Woodbridge.
Admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, Mr. Reynolds specializes in estate planning, business and transactional tax planning and estate administration. He graduated cum laude from York College of Pennsylvania, received his law degree cum laude from New York Law School and holds a Masters of Laws in Taxation degree from New York University School of Law.
A Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, Mr. Greenberg is an officer of the NJSBA Taxation Law Section and a former chair of its Corporate Tax Committee. He is also a former president of the Tri-County Estate Planning Council and current vice chairman of the Middlesex County Tax Committee. He holds degrees from Case Western Reserve University, St. John's University School of Law and New York University.
