WINNERS IN STATE BAR FOUNDATION'S LAW FAIR AND LAW ADVENTURE MOCK TRIAL COMPETITIONS TO PRESENT THEIR CASES
With the judging completed, the winning schools and classes in the New Jersey State Bar Foundation's 2009 Law Fair and Law Adventure mock trial competitions have been announced.
In each of the two competitions, the youngsters were asked to create and write original cases focusing on legal issues of interest to their contemporaries and which could be used as a tool to teach students about the law.
Victorious Law Fair students in grades 3-6 and Law Adventure pupils in grades 7-8 are slated to present their winning cases before judges, attorneys and juries of their peers-that is, other elementary and middle school students-in April, May and June at the home of the Bar Foundation, the New Jersey Law Center, One Constitution Square off Ryders Lane in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
The April schedule is as follows: Law Fair presentations on April 21, 22 and 28; and one Law Adventure presentation on April 23. Other dates in May and June are to be announced. All programs are held from 10-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-2 p.m. on each date.
The full list of winners of Law Fair and Law Adventure for 2009 is attached.
Photographers can expect to capture some great photo opportunities. If you plan to attend any of the winning case presentations, please contact Ellen Dweck at 732-937-7523.
